Frequently Asked Questions

What should I bring to a training session?

You should bring eye and ear protection, 20 rounds of ammunition, as well as any personal firearms you want to use. If you don't have a firearm, you can rent one from us.

Do I need to own a firearm to take a course?

No, we provide firearms for rent. If you're looking to purchase a firearm, we can offer recommendations and instruction to ensure this vital purchase is right the first time.

How long is the Concealed Carry Permit Class?

The Concealed Carry Permit Class typically lasts 8 hours, including both classroom instruction and range time. We also provide the lunch for the class.

What is covered in the permit to carry class?

In our Permit to Carry Class, we cover the required instruction on MN Statute 624.714 (MN Citizens Personal Protection Act).  We also cover such vital topics as, Situational awareness, definitions of use of force and deady force, how to identify if a handgun fits you, the mental and physical training needed for effective defense and several others.

What other classes are offered?

We are certified NRA Rifle, Pistol and Refuse To Be a Victim instructors. We are also Civilian Marksmanship Program certified master instructors for the 1903 Springfield Rifle, M1 Garand, M1A, Ar-15 (modern military) and high power small bore.  We provide a childrens safety course, a firearms familiarzation course, plus we can customize a course to fit your training needs.

How often are classes held?

Most classes are scheduled to meet the availablilty of the students.  Days can vary. If you have 3 or more people for a class, call and we will get one scheduled to meet YOUR busy schedule.

What do classes cost?

Our Permit to Carry class is $80 a person and includes lunch.  Individual instruction is $85 an hour.  We have firearms available for rent and prices vary depending on the caliber and numbers of rounds.

Do you thread barrels for suppressors?

No, we do not.  That is one barrel of monkeys we dont want.
